Archaic Cuneiform Translation Interactive

Goals

The Archaic Cuneiform Translation Quiz interactive graphic is intended as an inline self-test for students of introductory Sumerian culture. It provides four cuneiform character cards, and when the mouse hovers over the card, the meaning of the character is displayed in English within the card.

The site was built with HTML and CSS in a text editor. The animation rollover was handled with CSS and did not require JavaScript.

Photoshop and Illustrator were used to create the graphics. The cuneiform characters were converted into SVG vector files, ensuring they remain visually crisp regardless of scaling.
